So right now in Melbourne the weather has been all kinds of wacky. We’ve had wind, rain, low temperatures, it definately feels like the beginning of winter. Although it’s not the best ‘drinking weather’, sometimes we still feel like a smooth velvety tipple at the end of the day.
This recipe for our Violette Belle Cocktail, is a little dark and mysterious. Perfect for a little indulgence on a chilly evening. Make sure you pull out the vintage crystal or a cute little martini glass to lap up the full experience.
And…… if you are really into soaking up the cocktail hour ambiance, bust out your cutest feather boa, some diamonds, and make like they did in the 20’s with a sexy little Jazz playlist.
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce blue curacao
1/2 ounce blackberry creme de cassis
Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add ice, mix until combined.
Pour into a chilled glass
Optional – You can coat the edge of the glass with a little sugar, and even add some fresh blackberries for a more glamourous twist.
