Looking for something a little different for a dinner party, or sneaky wee drink on the weekend? Well look no further. This recipe is a ‘must love rust’ take on the sweet, delicious traditional Sangria. These are delightful little Pomegranate Sangria Shots, & we served it in our grandmothers tiny, vintage, etched, sherry glasses, so you can enjoy the super concentrated drink in small doses.
Pomegranate Sangria Shots
1/2 bottle of red wine (we used Zonin Montepulciano)
1 Cup Pomegranate Juice (we squeezed our own, but you can use store-bought pomegranate juice)
1/2 Cup Pomegranate Seeds
1/2 Cup Brandy
1/2 Cup Cointreau
– you can add a half bottle of soda water if you would like to drink as more of a cocktail rather than a shot.
Mix together red wine, pomegranate juice, pomegranate seeds, brandy, & cointreau. Let sit in the fridge for a few hours to allow the pomegranate seeds to soak some of the alcohol flavour.
Pour desired amounts of sangria into your chosen serving glasses, & serve with pomegranate seeds.
